In August 2005, I spent a 10 days holiday in Ascona (Switzerland) on the northern shore
of the Lago Maggiore lake. Together with my girl friend, I was swimming in
the lake, hiking in the surrounding valleys of the Tessin and enjoying lots
of sunshine.

we were staying in a small apartment.

While hiking in the Maggia valley, we had this nice view down
and upwards into the valley from a trail on the western slope of the valley.

The Vercasca valley is a narrow valley above Locarno. The sun
was shining and gave us this beautiful view of the Vercasca river.

At the end of the hike through the Vercasca valley we were
relaxing in the sunshine while waiting for the bus to take us back to our
car.
